THE HOUSE OF GEDDES-MUIR at 172 Queens Road Hastings is a family business that has been in Hastings for the past 10 years. Maureen Fuller and her daughter Tracy Dale opened their first independent retail shop for mens formal hire in October 1997 at 3 Castle Street Hastings.

After only six months of trading they soon outgrew this shop and in April 1998 they moved to their new address in Queens Road.

Their business has continued to go from strength to strength their personal and friendly customer service in this relaxed and pleasant surroundings is very welcoming for their customers. They believe strongly in team work, Valerie has been with them for the last 8 years and has been a loyal member of staff. Recently the third generation of the family, Georgia Dale, has just started to help out in the school holidays.

The House of Geddes- Muir has one of the largest ranges of formal hire outfits on the South Coast. They stock Prom Suits, DJs, Top Hat and Tails, Frock  Coats, Lounge Suits and are one of the most well established Kilt Hire specialists in the South East with over 25 modern or ancient tartans to choose from. All their outfits come with full highland accessories.

On the first floor they have a wonderful collection of Prom Evening and Cocktail Dresses from size 6-22 with over 200 dresses to choose from to hire or buy.
Our new dress agency is now available for you to bring your prom or evening dress to us and we will endeavour to sell it on for you within six months.
